OFFICE HOURS

Our office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

APPOINTMENTS

We encourage all our clients to make appointments to meet with our professional staff.

To make an appointment please call reception on 03 5572 2822 and arrange a mutually convenient time. Our staff are happy to meet with you outside business hours if required.

Please ensure that you bring any documentation relevant to your matter to your initial appointment.

ATTENDANCE ISSUES

Our Kennedy Street site in Hamilton has disabled access to the property. Please advise Reception on arrival to arrange assistance if required.

Unable to attend the office due to illness or mobility issues? Please ring and ask what other arrangements can be made to assist you –  our solicitors are willing to attend your home to obtain your instructions and assist in the preparation of documentation.

PAYING OUR ACCOUNT

Paying our account is easy.

  • Send us your cheque payable to Taylor Stratmann Lawyers to PO Box 413 Hamilton VIC 3300
  • Pay by Credit Card or EFTPOS at our office.
  • Pay directly into our trust account.  Our account details are located on the Remittance Section of your account.  Alternatively, you can contact us and we will happily provide you with the details. 

FILE DESTRUCTION

Once work is completed, all files will be closed and archived for a period of at least seven (7) years, after which time the file may be destroyed without further notice to you.

All Wills, Deeds, Titles, and similar documents are not destroyed but are retained in our Deeds Room for safekeeping.

DEEDS ROOM

At Taylor Stratmann Lawyers we are happy to hold our client’s documents in our Deeds Room free of charge. Our Deeds Room is a secured, built for purpose facility with double locking doors and limited access for maximum security and protection.

Original Wills, Deeds & Titles are common documents clients tend to store, however other documents you may be keeping at home such as Evaluation Certificates and Passports can also be stored securely.

In order to protect your interests, if you require us to retrieve a document from our Deeds Room either for removal or to photocopy, you will be asked for photo identification and will  be required to sign for the document. While not always possible, it is preferred that 24 hours notice of a retrieval is given to Reception so staff have adequate time to retrieve and copy (if required) your documents.

CERTIFYING, SWEARING AND WITNESSING DOCUMENTS

If you need a document sworn, certified or witnessed, please contact our office for an appointment so we can ensure a solicitor is available when you arrive.
